I am always delighted to welcome my guests to La Charronnière and to help you have the best holiday possible.  You are all, without exception, really lovely people and I am always sad to say goodbye to you at the end of your holiday.  I hope to see you all again very soon.  Here are some nice things you have said about the gîtes and the area:

' We really enjoyed the 2 weeks we spent at La Charronnière in June.  You made us so welcome and La P'tite Boulangerie is very well equipped.  You have made a wonderful job of its restoration and the water in the swimming pool really is like silk.  We fell in love with Rosie and maybe she will get to meet our dogs some time.  La Charronnière is very well located for sightseeing and you have a wealth of information which makes it easy to get around.  We managed to visit Futuroscope, Poitiers, Chauvigny with the birds of prey display (we had never before seen tame cranes flying around), Chatellerault and the car museum, the valley of the monkeys, Royan, Cognac - Hennessay and Remy Martin for visits and tasting - and La Rochelle.  Other days it was lovely to sit by the pool. Hope to see you again next year'.  Eleanor and Jim, Milton Keynes

'We greatly enjoyed our stay at la Charronnière. You can get there in a day from London by-passing Paris now that the A28 south of Rouen is open. The gites are well appointed and comfortable and the setting is delightful - you really can relax and unwind in this appealing corner of France. Some very interesting places are within easy reach so there's plenty to do if you want a break from the pool. Our only regret was that our stay was too short - we'll put that right next time'.
Richard and Penny, Surrey

'We wanted to say thank you so much for being such a fabulous hostess, you made us so very welcome at La Charronnière. Self catering is often limited so we were very surprised to see such a well equipped holiday home, you had thought of everything, from extra towels so I could wash my hair, a fantastic bottle of wine & nibbles for our grumbling tummies even treats for the dogs, which they loved'. Best Wishes, Caro & Gavin and of course Mono & Bailey, Marbella, Spain.

'Thank you so much for the lovely few days we spent with you. La Charronnière is lovely and we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you for all your kind help and for making us and our dog so welcome'. Kind regards, Carole, Paul and Murphy-the-dog, Surrey.

'Far from the madding crowd; La Charronnière offered us more than ample peace, tranquility comfort and style - it was an ideal gateway to explore the region's gastronomic and historic wonders! Thank you, Louise, for your wonderful hospitality and friendly advice. Our thanks to your incredibly friendly chooks for their deliciously fresh eggs!' A bientot!! Jean and Alice, Paris

'A fantastic, restful break and explore of the area.  The swimming pool is lovely and tranquil and the water feels like silk.  Lounging on the electric green inflatable, trailing my hand in the water was so relaxing.  The kittens are so funny and sweet - I can't wait to return'. Best wishes, Penny, Lectoure & Seaford

'We had a lovely week at La Charronnière, staying in the beautiful, clean and well appointed cottage, La P’tite Boulangerie, which exceeded our expectations. From our base near Chaunay we travelled to see the Remy Martin distillery in Cognac with a unique train journey through its in-house vineyard, enjoyed the sea near La Rochelle, were much touched by the poignant atmosphere of the destroyed village of Oradour-sur-Glane and delighted in the serenity of the beautiful village of Angles-sur-Angolin. We even extended our travels to Bordeaux, a city of magnificent buildings with a skyline unaltered since the late 18th Century. On days when we didn't fancy going further afield, the nearby monkey and ape sanctuary, La Vallée des Singes, and the restaurant on the Vienne at Port Sallé were sublime for distinctly different reasons. There is much to see and do in this part of France and we look forward to returning to enjoy both the comfort and hospitality of La Charronnière and the attractions of the Poitou-Charentes area.'  Kind regards, Marie & Jeff, Buckinghamshire

Best Wishes, Caro & Gavin & of course Mono & Bailey, Marbella, Spain.
